Broker

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Manage and grow a book of workers’ compensation business.
  • Evaluate submissions and select appropriate markets to submit to based off coverage needs and exposures.
  • Generate new client relationships and cultivate current client base to generate a flow of submissions.
  • Negotiate pricing and terms with carriers and provide quotes to retail agents in a timely manner.
  • Work in conjunction with Account Managers to respond to inquiries promptly and accurately with a customer-first and solution oriented mindset.

Qualifications:

  • Three years commercial lines insurance experience in independent agency, wholesale brokerage, or insurance carrier environment.
  • Familiarity with workers’ compensation policy forms, rating, and classifications.
  • Track record of building and maintaining relationships with clients and carriers.
  • Self-motivated and goal oriented with ability to work independently as well as with a team.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office including Outlook, Excel, and Word.

Account Manager

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Assist in servicing DRJ’s book of workers’ compensation business, including marketing new and renewal business, handling audits, endorsements, cancellations, and related policy transactions.
  • With assistance from Brokers, evaluate incoming submissions and select appropriate markets to submit to based off coverage needs and exposures.
  • Negotiate pricing and terms with carriers and provide quotes to retail agents in a timely manner.
  • Work alongside Brokers to respond to inquiries promptly and accurately with a customer-first and solution oriented mindset.
